¶ Experiment Scoring
¶ What it is
Following the conduct of experiments and processing of the data, you will be able to score the experiment and evaluate whether the assumption you wanted to test is true or false.
¶ Why it is useful
Experiment Scoring provides you with the answers in terms of the reality check on your hypotheses for which the whole experimentation phase is set out.
¶ When to use it
Experiment scoring will need to be conducted whenever experiments are run.

¶ How is it done
- Prepare a workshop with the Experimentation Plan for all the experiments you want to evaluate and the results based on the processed data for all the experiments in question.
- Run as a team through all experiments, review the results and apply your evaluation criteria to give a result. Discuss what that result means and sense-check that the experiment generated the correct data.
- After scoring all the experiments, discuss implications and conclusions for each outcome regarding your further experimentation or required changes to the concept.
¶ Do's & Don't
Do's
- Be as objective as possible. Apply your Evaluation Criteria and the Processed Data and give objective scores.
- Sense-check each outcome to see whether there might have been flaws in experiment design, execution, or data processing.
- Consider modification to the experimentation plan or concept if data is too negative and critical assumptions don’t hold up.
Don't
- Avoid jumping to conclusions too quickly after mediocre results. Discuss and reflect deeply on what the data is telling you.
