¶ Pitch Deck
¶ What it is
The Pitch Deck is the comprehensive summary presentation of your concept and business case to present to internal stakeholders, investment committees, or outside investors. It helps summarise all the key aspects of what you are trying to create and tells a comprehensive story that helps generate understanding, buy-in, and support from the audience.
¶ Why it is useful
Pitch Decks are storytelling devices that wrap individual facts and figures in a comprehensive narrative, which is easier for audiences to digest and understand.
¶ When to use it
A Pitch Deck should be created for any concept that will need to raise investment or committed resources (whether internal or external) of an amount that needs a clear investment rationale.
¶ How is it done
- Review your Business Model Canvas, Go-To-Market Strategy, Personas Statements, Business Case, and other documents you have already created.

Write up a story that follows the general logic of:
- Problem (Who has it, What is it)
- Solution (How can we address it)
- Product / Service (MVP & Vision)
- Business Model & Go-To-Market
- Competition (if any) + Differentiation
- Implementation Roadmap
- Business Case
- Team & Resources
- Investment Ask (if any)
- After you have written that story, turn it into slides and visualise them nicely - cutting away most text and focusing on visualising the fundamental principles.

Do's
- Try to tell a comprehensive story. Write it out in copy first, and read it out loud. If it makes sense, start drafting slides.
- Review from time to time to ensure consistent flow, story, and build-up between the different slides.
- Visualise as much as possible - slides are meant to be visual aids, not to be read in detail.
Don't
- Don’t jump into slides directly; start with a narrative.
- Don’t see each slide in isolation; focus on flow and storyline.
